Lots of news to share.... Perrier is our new title sponsor - for 2014 and for future years. They will be helping our campaign to be back on the world series for 2015! Other than that and equally as important, we have a great field of almost 30 paddlers for this year's event. This brings us back to the large, competitive fleets we were used to a few years ago. If all this seems too good to be true, don't ignore the weather forecast.... Sunday is promising us 13 to 14 knot tail winds and useful little 1m waves to play in. Proper, easy, downwind conditions for the second year in a row! So, even if you haven't signed up to race, come down to Captain Olivers for about 10.30 on sunday to join in the fun... 2014 is a special year
This year is the 10th anniversary of the Soualiga Challenge and we have compacted the tour so it will consist of 2 races on St Maarten / St Martin. Teams are working hard to put together special events for all paddlers. So we are extending a warm invitation to all to come and visit the Caribbean for a week's worth of superb surfski racing.
Our island is easy to reach from North America and from Europe, with direct connections to New York, Miami, Atlanta, Toronto, Paris, Amsterdam and other major airports. This, together with reasonable accommodation rates make this an affordable destination for a sporting autumn break.
